With the current MOU, do we get longevity pay?
Section 15.12 "The City agrees to restore longevity pay of 1.25% for employees who had achieved twelve (12) years of service on or before July 1, 2011. "

This means, effective with the new MOU, employees who had 12 years of service by July 1, 2011, will continue to receive longevity pay at the rate of 1.25%.  Longevity pay will not be restored for anyone else, including part timers. 

Will I get educational pay again now that we have a new MOU?
Section 15.5, Employee Educational Assistance Pay says "the City may reimburse employees for job related coursework which has been reviewed by the employee's supervisor and approved by the employee's department and Human Resources Department."

Is the Exempt Policy HR-67 the same as the one for Management?
Yes. HR-67  is the only policy that addresses attendance for exempt employees whether the employee's position is management or non-management.

What rights do I have as a union member? 
You have rights guaranteed under the Bill of Rights for members of labor organizations, including access to collective bargaining agreements and the right to proper conduct in union elections.

What are union dues? 
Dues are regular payments made to support the union's operations, with a portion potentially allocated to a strike fund.With the current MOU, do we get longevity pay?

Section 10.3: You can file a grievance through the process outlined in our collective bargaining agreement.

What are unfair labor practices? 
These are actions by an employer or a union that violate labor laws, such as discrimination, retaliation, or refusal to bargain in good faith.

Vacation leave with pay in accordance with the following schedule in Section 11.1
